Many of CCA’s activities are based around Christ. Every day we give our praises to the Lord through discussion, Bible stories, memory verses, songs of worship, and prayer. It is my desire to teach our children to love and trust in the Lord in all that we do and to share His word with others.

Ms. Tonya’s Discipline Policy

During our first few weeks of school we will be taking time to learn our classroom, school and playground rules. We will create a list of rules to follow and talk about why each rule is important. Our rules may include using an inside voice, using walking feet inside the classroom, help clean up, use listening ears, and being kind to friends. The classroom rules are meant to reinforce being kind, respectful to adults and friends, and the objects around them.

To go along with our circus theme, each child will have a seal on the wall with their name on it. Each seal will have four balls. In the event that a rule is broken or a friend is hurt, the child will remove a ball from the seal. If all four balls are lost during the day, I will call parents at work to discuss the kind of day their child is having. Each day the children will start with all four balls on their seal’s nose.

We will also have a classroom compliment clown. This means that when our class as a whole gets a compliment from anyone in the school then we will add a letter to our clown’s juggling act to spell out GOOD JOB! When we have spelled GOOD JOB, we will get to pick a special party to have at school on a Friday. This might be an ice cream party, a pajama day party, a movie party, and so on! Please let me know if you have any great party ideas! I really want our classroom to be a safe and comfortable environment for the children where they learn to work together and build a little community of learning. I hope this type of reward system helps them feel good as a class and work together to earn a party!!
