Many of CCA’s activities are based around Christ. Every day we give our praises to the Lord through discussion, Bible stories, memory verses, songs of worship, and prayer. It is my desire to teach our children to love and trust in the Lord in all that we do and to share His word with others.

This week we will talk about manners and feelings. We will read stories and identify different emotions. We will take pictures of different facial expressions and post in the classroom. We will identify different body parts through a variety of games and songs. We will draw self portraits and write our names without tracing. We will identify and find the colors brown and pink and heart and star shapes. We will create brown and pink play dough and use them to help with our fine motor skills. We will continue to work with the numbers 1-10 by identifying number words and counting out objects. While “clowning around,” we will show off our different talents while creating our own circus acts.

· Health Practices-continue to practice hand washing procedure and discuss the importance in why we wash our hands after using a tissue for our noses
This week we learn about the letter Ii. We talk about the difference between a vowel and consonant. We will identify words and pictures with the short and long “Ii” sound. A lot of activities this week will focus on the letter “Ii” and numbers 1-3. We will talk about insects. We create our own 6-legged insect using a variety of art materials. We will discuss the concept of measuring in inches by using small items to practice measuring.
Homework: Practice writing first name, letter Ii, and numbers one, two, and three. Identify shapes and colors. Read a story each night.

This week we learn about the letter Oo. We talk about the difference between a vowel and consonant. We will identify words and pictures with the short and long “Oo” sound. We will review the sound of “Ii” and match words that begin with Ii and Oo. A lot of activities this week will focus on the letter “Oo” and numbers 4-6. We will talk about grandparents or the members of in our family. Each day we will work on activities involving solids, liquids, and gases. We will identify objects as weighing heavy/light and more/less.
Homework: Practice writing first name, letter Oo, and numbers four, five, and six. Read a story each night.

A lot of activities this week will focus on the letter “Aa” and numbers 0-6. We will talk about the fall season and fall weather. We will talk about air and how living things need air to survive. Our Bible story focuses on God’s creation of plants. While reviewing the Bible story, we will plant beans to take care of while we watch them grow. We will begin our Personal Safety Curriculum this week. Unite one focuses on Self-Esteem. Each day we listen to a new story and perform various activities to re-enforce what we have learned.

Our Bible story focuses on God’s creation of the four seasons-autumn, winter, spring, and summer. While reviewing the Bible story, we will create a picture representing each season. Unit two of the Personal Safety Curriculum focuses on Family and Friends. Each day we listen to a new story and perform various activities to re-enforce what we have learned.
